The Bethpage Central Park Kiwanis Club presents three different Scholarships to Graduating Seniors of Bethpage High School
Bethpage Central Park Kiwanis Community Service Scholarship
The Bethpage Central Park Kiwanis Community Service Scholarship is presented to a Bethpage High School student who dedicated their time and talents to volunteer work outside the scope of school based activities. This scholarship was the first ever established by Bethpage Kiwanis and seeks to reinforce the benefits of giving back to ones community.
Debra Auer Memorial Scholarship
The Debra Auer Memorial Scholarship is presented to a Bethpage High School student going into the healthcare field. This scholarship is in memory of one of our charter members who wholeheartedly believed in the miss of Kiwanis – “Changing The World One Child And One Community At A Time” Her dedication to our club made a lasting impression on all of our charter members.
F. Joseph Smallarz Memorial Scholarship For Skilled Trades
The F. Joseph Smallarz Memorial Scholarship is presented to a student going into a Hands-On trade such as Welding, Automotive Repair, Plumbing, Carpentry or Electrical work. This scholarship is in memory of one of our charter members who dedicated his time and efforts to help advance the mission of Kiwanis. His unprecedented fundraising efforts helped establish and maintain our scholarship program.
Applicants for these scholarships should prepare an essay that describes why they feel they are deserving and contact the Guidance Department at Bethpage High School.
